Blueberry Quartz

Blueberry 'quartz' is not actually quartz, nor is it a naturally occurring gemstone. Instead, it's a manmade glass designed to mimic the appearance of quartz, but with deep blue inclusions throughout. This material is not molded, however, but is cut and polished in the same manner as other gemstones, to give a smooth, clean finish.

Milky Quartz

Considered a stone of power, especially in raw crystal form, Milky or Snowy Quartz is a translucent to opaque white, as implied by its name. Quartz is the single-most abundant mineral on the planet, making up approximately 12 percent of the Earth's crust, and has featured in man's tools from stone axes through to modern digital watches.

Crystal healers consider Quartz to be the most versatile stone for healing, as it is believed to amplify and to naturally harmonise all types of energy, including the energies of other stones. Quartz is likewise believed to amplify thoughts and prayers and to keep its wearer in touch with their spiritual side.

Rose Quartz

Rose Quartz is a pale, translucent pink variety of quartz and is commonly considered the stone of love.

A gentle stone, it is said to enhance all forms of love (family, platonic, and romantic), both in attracting love to its wearer, and in encouraging its wearer to share it with others.

Rose Quartz is also said to promote self-acceptance and to encourage forgiveness and tolerance of others. Crystal healers consider this stone to be deeply nurturing and claim it can help to slowly diffuse emotional hurts and lessen the hold of painful memories. Some traditional sources also claimed that it could help to increase fertility.

Rutilated Quartz

As with any quartz, Rutilated Quartz is considered a stone of power, and the characteristic needle-like inclusions of titanium dioxide – known as rutile – have given it a number of nicknames, including fleches d’amour (or Cupid’s darts). These inclusions can be any colour: red, black, silver, and occasionally even green or gold.

Rutile is said to act as an amplifier to intensify the metaphysical properties of its host crystal. As Quartz is already considered to be the most versatile stone for healing, naturally strengthening and harmonising all types of energy, including that of other stones, the rutile variety is positively abuzz with positive energy. It is said to enhance its wearer’s understanding of particularly difficult situations, and to help highlight solutions, even when it seems there may be no way out. Quartz is likewise believed to amplify thoughts and prayers and to keep its wearer in touch with their spiritual side.
