Borealis Jewellery Design

Semi-precious gemstone jewellery by Marion McDowell

For thousands of years, mankind has held to the belief that precious stones have qualities beyond mere beauty: that gemstones can instil courage, protect against harm, attract love, or cure illness.

From cuneiform stone tablets right through to the present day, gemstones are still considered to be deeply symbolic. Whether you believe that amber can protect against poison, or that a diamond can symbolise love, a little of the lore surrounding the gemstones is included in the description of each unique piece of Borealis Design jewellery.

Enjoy the mystery.
